Center for China- Africa Agriculture and Forestry Research (CAFOR) is a joint effort between International Network for Bamboo and Rattan (INBAR) and Zhejiang Agriculture & Forestry University (ZAFU). CAFOR, always seek the seed of solution for sustainable agriculture and forestry development and management, in favor of Africa region environmental protection and poverty alleviation programme such as development education, training, research and business technology consulting, is looking for highly skilled professional positions.
Senior Programme Officer高级项目官员
l Work with Institute of African forestry and climate change team to develop and write the planned amount of sound reports, proposals and concept papers.
l Engage in identify program direction and analyze project development experience and examples.
l Perform forestry, climate change, policy, and technical research and analyses relating to forestry development, forestry economic development, climate change and environmental protection and other relevant sectors.
l Develop programs for poverty reduction, environmental protection, rural development, including researching local conditions, obligations to donors, and relevant best practices.
l Involved in project implementation, monitoring once the proposals are approved and granted.
l Perform other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor.
l Master’s degree in Environment, forestry, ecology or related field and 3 years experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
l Ability to compile, write, and edit reports, concept papers and applications exhibiting strong expository writing skills and a high-level command of grammar and spelling in English
l Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines
l Strong analytical skills and detail orientation with ability to perform technical and quantitative analyses.

l As a team member, to be involved in project development, mainly on proposal writing;
l Responsible for implementation of project activities;
l Responsible for management and coordination of partners project activities;
l Responsible for project plan budget management and project report;
l Coordinate project related activities such as conference, M&E and training.
l Bachelor degree or above, 3 years or above related working experience;
l Related working experience in social economy, enterprise management, natural resource conservation, ecological environment improvement, community development field, and policy; Familiar with the process of project operation and implementation;
l Excellent ability of scientific research or scientific research management and excellent writing and presentation skills in English.
l In charge of regular office administration.
l Assist in the organization of meetings, workshops, seminars, outreach activities, etc.: participation in these events and taking notes/minutes;
l Preparation of draft communication and translation of documentations including letters, MOUs, briefing materials.
l Collection of working documents (print and electronic);
l Maintain the stock of office supplies, administer and replenish, as needed.
l Other jobs may assigned by the supervisor.
Bachelor degree in Communications, Business Administration or related disciplines with minimum 2 years of experience.
Experience with the public and/or non-profit sector desired.
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office, knowledge of PhotoShop or equivalent software will be a definite advantage.
Excellent interpersonal skills; High degree of integrity, discretion, and personal conduct.
Excellent sense of priority and able to work under pressure and extra time.
